International Logistics Specialist – Indian Market This position is responsible for providing: inventory management, stock status updates, physical distribution of company inventory, whole goods and the timely shipment of product to clients in Asia, mainly India due to the high number of Indian customers and vendors. This position operates within the Logistics Department, interfaces with Sales, Purchasing, Accounting. It also Interfaces with the headquarter office based in Mainz, Germany. Responsibilities: • Chiefly responsible for all logistical activity and the single point of contact in Malta. • Co-ordinate logistic activity with the partner company in Germany. • Work closely with colleagues from Purchasing and Sales Department within the office and with partner companies to ensure a successful deliver cycle. • Regular communication with the vendor’s and suppliers in Asia, especially in India. • Streamline inventories, develope reports for every ISO week • Work to optimize warehouse and deployment schedules, carrier equipment, mode, lane costs, and customer on time delivery. • Manage the quality, quantity and efficiency of domestic inbound and outbound shipment • Manage the exceptions when there is an indication of inventories shortage in the Bitrix system The inventory must be allocated to orders manually in these cases, balancing input from sales priorities and inventory/purchasing input on the ability to rectify the shortage. • Calculate the Gross profit per month for the company and share them vertically and horizontally. • Assist the HR department during interviews to select appropriate members for the department. Requirements: • A Master degree in Logistics or electronics-related field is mandatory, while further studies will also be embraced. • The applicant must have at least 3 years of experience studying, working or living in India. • Fluency in English and intermediate level of knowledge in Indian languages (mainly Hindi and Tamil) • Basic knowledge of German is required to cooperate with the partner company and to work with customer in Germany. • The applicant must be proficient in BITRIX CRM platform, General and Customized • It is necessary that the applicant possess basic practical knowledge of Marketing, preferably in the context of Indian market. • Previous experience in Logistics is advantageous. • Knowledge of resource planning, Total Quality Management and organising skills are prerequisites. • Ability to work across boundaries with partner companies for completion of work and projects. • Good sense of accuracy, timeliness. • Must be able to function in a team environment. • Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook Programs. • Be able to identify standard problems within the delivery cycle and make a recommendation to provide a solution to achieve customer satisfaction • Must be able to fill out bills of lading (domestic & international) and be familiar with various forms that are used and required by the major freight carriers
